Principals Message

Welcome back! March may have come in like a lamb, but things at Hawthorn Elementary South are “roaring” like a lion! Today is the first day of ISAT testing. We will show the world that “Every DOT counts” (literally)! There is absolutely nothing to worry about or study for. The children and their teachers have worked all year to learn the Hawthorn Comprehensive Curriculum. I feel confident that they are well prepared for state testing. Most importantly, please make sure your child is well rested, at school on time, and encouraged. We will do the rest! We will provide a hearty breakfast each day of testing, new pencils, and even pass out mints to stimulate brain activity.

Testing is not all that is going on around here! Bingo, Bingo, Bingo is in the house! Hope to see you all at Family Bingo Night on Friday, March 19th at 6:30. We will have wonderful prizes, snacks, and lots of fun for the whole family!
