Hawthorn Elementary School South

Hawthorn students will take part in the fall session of MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) assessments from September 10 through 21. Students take these computerized assessments three times each year, allowing educators to track progress from year to year and from trimester to trimester. MAP tests "move" with students, pushing them into more advanced content in an effort to create a more robust picture of achievement. Please help us remind students that it is normal to get some "hard" questions on these assessments, and that they should just do their best. Also, research shows that getting enough sleep and eating a healthy breakfast is key to good learning, both during MAP season and all year long.
