2. Printing Your Documents Directly from the Finder/Desktop
If you’d like to remove a few steps when printing a document, ctrl-click on a document in the Finder/desktop and select Print from the drop down menu. No need to open the document in an application. It will print to the last printer you used.
1. Suppose you're dragging an icon across the screen -- and halfway through the operation, you decide you don't want to drop it. You could, of course, mouse back and drop where you started.
But life is too short. It's much easier to press the escape key (in the upper left corner of your keyboard) while dragging and then release the mouse button. A shrinking rectangle shows you the icon returning to its original location, no harm done.
